About D&R - PAST

In 1977, Ron de Roo and Arie van Donge founded the company that has been carrying their family names proudly ever since: Van Donge & De Roo B.V (D&R).

 

In the early years D&R's core-business was distribution of goods within Europe. Throughout the years containerized shipments slowly but steadily became to play a more important role in D&R's daily business activities.

As Ron de Roo's focus was mainly on the transport and distribution of (semi-) manufactured goods and fast moving consumer goods, whilst Arie van Donge wanted to focus more on transport and storage of raw materials, they decided to go their separate ways in 1983.

 

Ron de Roo acquired 100% control over the company in that same year and decided to continue doing business under the name Van Donge & De Roo, a strong brand that already acquired recognition throughout the market in both Europe and Asia for quality, reliability and trust.

 

D&R is still fully owned by Ron de Roo, who nowadays manages the company together with his family, which does not only consists of his two sons but also of some 130 colleagues.
